Ok hands up if you've been there, done that with the corduroy trend before? I know it shows your age but with age comes wisdom. And in my case a 'vintage' skirt that's bang on trend again. I think my cord skirt is probably about 8 years old, that makes it vintage worthy right? I have though of course been shopping the trend all over again and these pink cords from Zara are my absolute favourite at the moment.

I've styled them here with my baker boot hat and leather accessories for an off duty look. I can't wait for a chance to dress them up though with patterned shirts and checks. I took a size S in them and have found them super comfortable to wear.

To bring my corduroy skirt up to date I've been styling it recently with embroidered knitwear. This jumper is also an old favourite from last year but embroidery is not going anywhere for this season and there are some fabulous pieces available on the high street at the moment.

I really love the cord boots (below), and would love to see them styled with ripped jeans, a simple tee and oversized cardigan for an everyday look.

Stay softer with pink corduroy and mix and match with grey tones and burgundys through Autumn. Or go smarter with darker shades of blue, black and navy. In my opinion the darker shades are certainly easier to smarten up and so may prove to be be versatile in the long run.

I have to admit I'm just a little bit pleased with myself that I didn't ever loose my skirt to the charity shop. It headed that way a few times believe me, but was always pulled back.
