LET YOUR CHEST DO THE TALKING

Honey-T  Never Fully Dressed  £29.00

It's never been so fashionable to wear your heart on your t-shirt. No matter what it is you want to say I guarantee there is a t-shirt out there perfect for you. I suppose the trend all kind of started with those Gucci T-Shirts. Yes those ones that us mere mortals can't afford yet that have still sold out everywhere! But the high street has done its thing and we're all in, so in the name of research I've both shopped the high street as well as picked my best of the rest for you.

My Style
Vintage Graphic T-Shirt  Zara  £5.99
Jeans (old) Marks & Spencer
Merci Graphic Print T-Shirt  Topshop  £15.00
Jeans  (old)  Marks & Spencer
Shoes  Primark  £10.00

So far I've been wearing my slogan tees with all sorts of denim and gingham. But at the weekend I decided to mix it up with some coloured heels and went 'out out' in my t-shirt. These heels are such a bargain at just £10.00 and come in so many colours so definitely worth a look in your local Primark store.

Femme Forever T-Shirt  Topshop  £15.00
Checked Trousers  Zara  £25.99

My favourite place for t-shirts right now has got to be Topshop. They have a great range of colours and slogans on offer but be warned they are all selling out fast so don't wait around! Next on my list is their charity tee emblazoned with 'Girls Rule', because you can never have too many feminist t-shirts, right !??!

Females of the Future  Topshop  £15.00
FTBC Charity Motif T-Shirt  Topshop  £14.00
Babes Unite T-Shirt  Topshop  £15.00
Deja Vu T-Shirt  Topshop  £15.00
Save The Future  Topshop  £15.00
Kiles White Realizing Stuff Slogan T-Shirt  MissyEmpire  £14.00
Boob-T  Never Fully Dressed  £29.00
Hinds Leave Me Alone T-Shirt  Urban Outfitters  £25.00
Slogan T-Shirt  Zara  £9.99
Vintage Graphic T-Shirt  Zara  £5.99
Printed T-Shirt  Zara  £12.99
Femme T-Shirt  Urban Outfitters  £26.00

This Urban Outfitters black tee is so much like the Gucci tee and for just a fraction of the price. It is perfect if you want a t-shirt to dress up with a patent skirt and heels. Or you could even go for a metallic pleated midi skirt with black heels and of course a red lip.

Don't Be a Dick Print T-Shirt  Adolescent Clothing @ ASOS  £18.00
Oversize Printed T-Shirt with Neon Slogan  Bershka  £12.99
Lilac Current Mood Print T-Shirt  New Look  £9.99
Cherry Bomb Print Tee  SheIn  £7.91
Message Cotton T-Shirt  Mango  £12.99
Message Cotton T-Shirt  Mango  £17.99
Shirt Sleeve Organic Cotton T-Shirt with Text Detail  Stradivarius  £7.99
White Slogan T-Shirt  New Look  £12.99
Printed T-Shirt  H&M  £12.99
Ruffled Sleeve T-Shirt  Mango  £15.99

So pick your slogan and mix it up. Treat these tees, especially the white ones as neutrals because they really do go with everything. Think of it as an easy way to make an otherwise basic outfit of jeans and trainers a little more current. To make a statement for summer just add leopard, gingham or some brights and don't be shy. I promise you'll surprise yourself at just how many ways a t-shirt can be worn come rain or shine.

But if you're still not convinced check out a little style inspo here or head over to my instagram to see all my outfits.

SHINE FROM YOUR HEAD TO YOUR SHOES

I for one am a lover of a statement shoe so what could be better than a metallic flatform brogue!?....well nothing actually. I got mine a little while ago and bloody love them. I wore them to a bloggers event last weekend and got lots of amazing comments on them. So I thought I'd do a little post on them and share with you where to get yourself some of the action.

Metallised Brogues with Jute Soles  Stradivarius  £35.99

I really love the jute detailing around the sole on these ones which I think softens them up a little bit. I was also swayed by the brogue stitching effect on them which makes them look more expensive than they are. They're comfortable and having spent all day on my feet at the event in them I can say that with some conviction. *They come up true to size.

My Look

Leather Effect Jacket  Zara  £49.99
Daisies Dress  Zara  £25.99
Cami  Primark  (old)
Geometric Bucket Bag with Braided Handle  Zara  £29.99
Shoes (as above)

My look for the event was my version of smart/casual. I love putting items together that others maybe wouldn't and in doing so making items like this tea dress a little more 'edgy' -if you will. They are also perfect for updating a casual everyday look with ripped jeans. And of course you're always that little bit taller which is never a bad thing.

Shirt  Zara  (old)
Bag (as above)
Straight Regular Relaxed Jeans  H&M  £34.99
Shoes (as above)

Indium Elyse Star Shoes  Stella McCartney  £630.00

So where did all the shiney shoe inspiration come from? In the last couple of years flatforms have been spotted on the Prada and Stella McCartney runways and more recently they went metallic. My ones are based more on the 'Stella McCartney Elyse' lace-up platform shoe. But both styles have been spotted on fashionistas and have become a style staple for so many. Mostly because of there versatility to go with just about everything and anything.

If the designer price tag is slightly out of your reach though then fear not, the high street is coming up trumps for us mere mortals.

Silver Metallic Flatform Star Pumps  Lasula  £40.00

If you're looking for amazing copies of 'those' Stella McCartney ones then these ones from Lasula are the ones for you. For just £40.00 the attention to detail is fabulous on them.

Metallic Flatform Bluchers  Zara  £29.99
Platform Oxford Shoes  H&M  £29.99
Silver ow Heel Brogue Shoes  KG Kurt Geiger  £110.00
Metallic Flatform Shoe  Pull & Bear @ ASOS  £35.99

So don't leave your feet in the dark. Wear with dresses for any occasion, night or day. Dress up your basics during the week and watch the compliments fly in. No one can ignore these shoes, believe me.
